Easing toddler daily transitions

You know that moment when you’re trying to leave the playgroup AND your toddler throws a massive tantrum.

Yeah, we’ve all been there.

The dreaded toddler transition moment.

Don’t despair. There are a couple of few things you can do to make things easier.

  1. Give advance warning that the activity is ending or you’re going home. Kids love to know what’s happening next.

  2. Listen to them and help validate how they’re feeling. Avoid threats. Instead, get down on their level and ask them how they feel. Agree it’s hard or upsetting to be leaving the play-doh.

  3. Create rituals. For instance, after leaving the park stop off at the bakery or the library.

Bedtime is another tough transition point in the day. Having a regular sleep routine really helps. But, if you’re little one is still struggling to settle, try Klearvol Inhalation Capsules. These release soothing aromatic oils. Perfect for creating a calm and relaxing space for you little to go to sleep.
